About Strategic Victory Fund and Youth Turnout Projects

In just under two years, the Youth Team @ Strategic Victory Fund has incubated and scaled programming reaching young voters that has:

  • Had an in-person footprint on over 150 campuses in battleground states
  • Hired and trained nearly 200 full-time staffers and 1,800 part-time student staffers
  • Developed over 100 student-focused social media accounts
  • Reached nearly 6 million voters online, over 300m times

In 2026 we’re continuing to support and evolve programming with our existing partners, while finding ways to innovate and incubate new programming that will drive record Gen-Z turnout in 2026 and 2028 elections.

The Student Turnout Projects is our flagship operation – a cohort of state-based organizations working to organize college campuses with scrappiness and creativity. The Program Associate/Coordinator position will support the Youth Turnout Projects team, and especially the Student Turnout Projects team, on a range of projects.

What will you do?

As SVF invests in the Youth Turnout Projects, you will work with our national team to support in-state leaders in executing creative and scrappy campus organizing programs and other youth organizing programs. You will:

  • Support the Youth Turnout Projects Director and Senior Advisor on a wide range of tasks, including project management, memo writing, event planning, scheduling, and other special projects.
  • Partner with the STP Deputy Director for Programs & Training to build and maintain an excellent library of trainings, resources, and programmatic materials that develop the capacity of campus organizing programs across the country.
  • Coordinate documents and materials to support timely execution of department tasks and projects.
  • Maintain project management infrastructure to support planning, team coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Track, analyze, and report on the progress of state programs, proactively identifying gaps and driving follow-up to keep initiatives on track.
  • Execute additional programmatic priorities as needed.

Who are you?

We recognize that it is highly unlikely that even well-qualified candidates will meet 100% of the qualifications for a role. If much of this job description describes you, please apply for this role.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has at least one cycle of experience working on a political or issue advocacy campaign. Experience with campus organizing is a plus.
  • Is a do-er and a self-starter; able to take the reins and execute through ambiguity.
  • Is highly organized and able to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Is a strong writer.
  • Has experience using or managing a project management tool, like Monday.com, Asana, or Air Table.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment. You’re flexible to a changing environment and excited to “build the plane while flying it.”
  • Is able to work some weekends and irregular hours as we approach Election Day.

An exceptional candidate:

  • Has managed full-time staff as a regional organizing director or a similar position.
  • Has project managed at scale.
  • Has experience navigating the relationship between a state and national program.
  • Can pull, interpret, and communicate data and trends.
  • Is comfortable managing up and across teams.

Exceptional candidates as outlined above with a demonstrated ability to take on an expanded scope can expect title and salary commensurate with these responsibilities. This role begins in July 2026 and is located in Washington, DC. This role may involve travel to focus states.
